First Quarterly

Your first quarterly is due on November 12th & 13th (whichever day you have class). The instructions are on Classroom. You have the option of printing pictures out in class or printing them at a store and mounting them on your poster board. (ex: WalMart, Costco, CVS, etc.) Happy picture taking!

Below is the NEW camera sign out link. Remember ALL cameras are due to me by Monday, 10/26, even if you do not have class that day.  Signing out will again be first come first serve basis. Each class is assigned a group of cameras, so be sure you sign up under the correct block. Camera number does not matter anymore. DO NOT erase anyone's name, I can always go back and check who does what on the form... :)

Photography Assignment #1

Fall Theme

In Google Slides, create a presentation that has two pictures for each category below relating to the theme we discussed. You must have two images for each of the following skills:

• Small depth of field
• Large depth of field
• Fast shutter speed
• Slow shutter speed
• Manual Focus

In the notes section of each slide, include the following camera setting information: White Balance, ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture. Include a title page that has your name and relates to the theme as well. TAKE A LOT OF PICTURES- you can never, ever, ever have too many! Happy picture taking!!!
Due dates are: A-days 10/26; B-days 10/27 .

While some people have cameras signed out or are working on their first assignment, you will be required to complete a "Photography News Article". Below is a link to the template I would like you to use (it can also be found in Google Docs). This assignment will be due the same day as your fall project.

Using the internet find and ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed guide that clearly defines the lighting conditions necessary for each setting. Save the image and post it (along with your name) in the photography share document below.

Shutter Priority Mode

Do Now:
Find a second picture taken by a famous "master" photographer that intrigues you. This photographer should have had his or her work shown in a gallery or museum. It can be a recent photographer or one from the past. In your journal create a new entry that includes: the photograph you chose, a description of the photograph, and some background information about the photographer. Be sure to include the site where you found the photograph.


In Class Assignment:
Together we will be discussing Shutter Speed. Please refer to the notes I posted from last class to become more familiar with shutter speed. Your assignment is to work with a partner and practice setting and using Shutter Priority mode. Similarly to what we did with AP mode, you will be taking practice pictures, uploading to a Google Doc, and then posting your results to classroom.
