Introduction: Getting to know the Camera

Do Now:
Find a picture taken by a famous "master" photographer that intrigues you. This photographer should have had his or her work shown in a gallery or museum. It can be a recent photographer or one from the past. In your journal create a new entry that includes: the photograph you chose, a description of the photograph, and some background information about the photographer. Be sure to include the site where you found the photograph.

Today we will be going over the essential parts and functions of the camera. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be doing activities and learning the difference between the modes of our cameras.
